If you received interest or dividends, you may have checked the box asking whether you had a financial interest in or signature authority over a foreign financial account.
This question only comes up once and there is no way to return to it, except by deleting your interest and dividend info.
- Tap Tax Tools in the left column
- Then Tools
- Select Delete a Form
- Delete Schedule B
- Select Continue With My Return at the bottom
- Re-enter your interest and dividends
- Continue until you see Did you own or control a foreign bank account, trust or financial asset in 2021?
- Say no
