Does it match WHAT? TT can't guess at what the number should be - this isn't supposed to be a "matching" excercise. TurboTax needs to know what the letters say, so that it can calculate your remaining tax credit. If you got the full amount for all 6 months then you got exactly 50% of the credit. In that case, it might match the remaining credit, but that is coincidence. TurboTax isn't asking you to confirm anything matches, it needs for you to enter a number. Possibly two numbers.
This is a straight input question. What is on your letter, what is on your spouse's letter if filing jointly? That's the question, and it's asking exactly that. It's not asking you if something or other matches. Enter what is on your letter, just like the program asks.
