To enter the 1099-S in TurboTax, you would use the Investments section:
- In the Federal > Wages & Income > Investment Income section of your return, click Start/Revisit next to Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B)
- Click Yes or Add more sales
- Select Other
- You would enter your portion of the sale here just as it appears on the 1099-S the broker provided. Make sure to use the dropdown menu to select the type of investment.
- If you have additional sales expenses not listed on the 1099-S, you may enter them on the next screen Let us know if any of these situations apply to the sale
