If you don't have a Schedule A in your 2020 return, you probably didn't itemize deductions, in which case your 1099-G for your state tax refund would not be taxable. You're just reporting it. Your stock sales that you mentioned would be on Schedule D.
To be sure, check Line 12a on your Form 1040. If you have an even amount there ($12,550 or $25,100) you used the Standard Deduction.
