In my opinion, for the 8915-F form where it asked you to enter the amount shown on line 4 from 8915-E (last years) we should be leaving that blank and just checking the box where is says for Corona Virus. This would eliminate the ask for the Disaster Name and FEMA number. If you read the 8915-F form like other people have mentioned it wants the full amount if its anything “other” than the Corona Virus disaster. I still spoke with a Turbo Tax rep. and honestly I don’t think they know what they are doing. They made me enter the amount which prompted the ask for the Disaster name and FEMA number and in the disaster name I put COVID-19 and left the FEMA number blank and it worked. I submitted my taxes and they were accepted. I have a record of the Turbo Tac person telling me that so if anything happens they can handle it.
