You can save the new return with a different name such as "updated return". It won't duplicate anything as it doesn't work the same as TurboTax Online. When using TurboTax CD/Download software, your returns are stored on your local computer drive or storage device, not in a cloud.
Your other option would be to continue with the return you already started and review each input section to ensure all of the entries are accurate.
