Why are you pretty sure you are not eligible to receive the recovery rebate credit? Did you receive it already last year? If someone else claimed you as a dependent last year and got it, they do not have to pay it back, but you can still get it yourself thanks to a loophole left by Congress when they wrote the law.
Did you receive letter 6475? If so, you have to enter that information in the recovery rebate credit section in Federal Review.
