If you & your spouse each got the $1400 stimulus payment then the amount you should have entered in the program was $2800 combined.  So look at the form 1040 line 30 ... if there is an amount other than zero then you made a data entry error and the IRS is correcting it ... you cannot get the credit on the return and the advance payment.
