OK people ... if you got 2800 as a married couple then you enter 2800 ( or 1400 each) even if you did not get the stupid reminder letter. Those 6475 letters are going out thru March and it is possible that a married couple may never get both letters but that should not stop you from verifying how much you got in advance another way ... either by looking at your records or online with the IRS. If you do enter an incorrect amount the IRS will simply adjust the return automatically ... expect this to delay the refund for an unknown time frame.
