Youi can leave the Middle Initial box blank (empty) as it is not a required entry on a tax return if you have no middle name.
If you are getting an error for the middle name there probably is a hidden character in the box that needs to be deleted. Put your cursor in the box and press the Delete button on your keyboard several times to remove any hidden characters.
