Ok, so the IRS sent me a 1095-B, and the attached letter states it is required for filing. My kids are on CHIP, so it's Medicare. Why would I need to submit this form everyone say I don't need, and how would I do that?
The IRS does not send any type of Form 1095 to individuals. If you have a medical plan through a government agency such as Medicaid you would receive a Form 1095-B.
The Form 1095-B and Form 1095-C are not reported on a tax return.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for a Form 1095-B - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/credits-and-deductions/help/do-i-need-to-enter-a-1095-b/00/26673
