Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Here is the crazy work around that helped me update the credit card on my account:
- Instead of trying to update my Default Payment in my account, I clicked on the radio button for TurboTax Advantage.
- Clicked on Edit on the credit card section
- I entered my husband's name and his Mastercard. Voila! Suddenly the Save button was available. With my own info, the Save button was inactivated.
- Then I merely changed his name to mine. BUT I didn't include my middle initial as it appears on my credit card. And the Save button was still activated.
- Then I changed his Mastercard to my Visa. And finally hit the Save button.
- My card was now updated for TurboTax Advantage.
- Then I returned to the Default Payment section.
- Did the same thing by inserting my name without the middle initial. Entered my new credit card info. And the Save button was activated.
- The bottom line is that Turbo Tax suddenly refused to accept my name with the middle initial, even though that is exactly how it is stated on my credit card. I've been using my name with a middle initial for 13 years on my TurboTax account and it's always been on my credit card. What a ridiculous ordeal!
