Get your taxes done using TurboTax
If you are asking about completing your daughter's return, the question asking if she can be claimed on someone else's return is in the "My info" section of her return. If she can and will be claimed as a dependent on your return then she will answer "Yes" to these questions on her return. She will then not be eligible for the round one/two stimulus payments (Recovery Rebate Credit).
You are asked those same questions in the "My Info" section for you, but not for your dependents on your tax return.
On your tax return there are several questions in "My Info" section for your dependents to determine if you can claim her. For example, Did she live with you (or away at college)? Did she provide more than 1/2 of her own support?
If she qualifies as your dependent on your return, you will get the round three (1400) payment for her, but not round one and/or two payments as she is too old under the requirements for those payments.
Of course the opposite is also true. If she is not a dependent and not claimed on your return she will answer "NO" to those questions on her return in the "MY Info" section and you will not claim her on your return. She will then be eligible for rounds one/two (Recovery Rebate Credit for 1200/600) on her tax return and also she will get the third round payment (1400) sent separately to her.
