Get your taxes done using TurboTax

@VolvoGirl, thanks for the several replies to this, not only to me, but to others who've brought their own problems and issues out.

First, yes, I tried a variety of ways to open the pdf files created by TurboTax, and nne worked. Neither did healing them, as one program offered to do. So, that's not a viable option, even if I had made pdf's of all the returns.

Second, Yea I visited TaxPrinter service. They want $50 for each file. Good business for them, I guess. I don't think they offer any assurance that they can actually open the files and provide anything useful. And of course, there's the privacy issue, which is why I don't do taxes (or much else) on-line.

Third, Most of the versions of TurboTax I used, I have copies of on CD. The first problem with that is finding a CD reader. But, he said sarcastically, why bother? Most of them won't run on even a five year-old computer. They are incompatible with the hardware and the OS's now being used. This is probably the biggest problem of all. And Intuit at least finally recognizes the shallow shore of the problem when they told us (in TT2020) that soon the software wouldn't run unless macOS was updated.

I can't speak to the others of your recommendations, save to say Good on you for at least trying.

Thanks!
