1. Contact customer service and let them know that you were told to upgrade and did not need it. Instead, you need to upgrade to the LIVE service. You can fill this form out for someone to call you. They should be able to make the price correct for your situation.
With the LIVE service, you can have a line by line review, let the customer service representative know they need to handle 2 issues. One the charge for the upgrade and two, getting you an appointment for the line by line review. See What is a Line by Line Review?
2. The protection package will take care of you in the event you are audited, through support and representation. TurboTax has a special phone number for help with IRS/state tax letters, which will be easier than going through regular Customer Support.
3. Another option is to clear and start over. This will let you downgrade your return, re-enter your information and you are welcome to post in the community what issues you are having for help in getting your return processed. Best wishes!
