Will the IRS count double gambling winnings income if you receive duplicate WG2 statements showing winning income from the same transaction number?

Lottery mistakenly issued duplicate W2G statements for the same transaction payout. They informed us to disregard the error since the tax collection agencies will  accept only one of the W2G's since their transaction Identifiers are the same.
