You get the child tax credit for a child who was UNDER the age of 17 at the end of 2020---if a child turned 17 in 2020 you do not get the CTC, instead you get the $500 credit for other dependents for that child. If your child was born in 2020 make sure you said the child lived with you the whole year. And make sure you entered their Social Security numbers.
