Get your taxes done using TurboTax
If your last year's return was delayed for some reason, IRS may not have the right AGI amount in their system to match your return. In my case, I had to enter 0 in the AGI field to get IRS to accept my tax return.
The error that they throw back is more general though. They do not tell you if it was the AGI or if it was the PIN that was incorrect. PIN and AGI are the way they correlate your current tax return to your previous tax return (to verify your identity). If you don't remember receiving any PIN, then it is the AGI that you should fix.
To add to the confusion, there is another PIN that Turbotax asks you to fill in order to "sign" your return. That's a totally different PIN and is not related to the PIN IRS is complaining about.
Turbotax support will NOT help you in this case. They threw random and incorrect advice to me. Here is a resource that may help - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/what-if-i-entered-the-correct-agi-and-i-m-still-ge...
