Bartering income is taxable and the IRS considers you to be self-employed. Report the value of the goods you receive as cash income.

 

You can claim expenses, such as internet use, software subscriptions, a laptop, etc.

  • Type self-employed in Search in the upper right
  • Select Jump to self-employed
  • Enter your income and expenses
