Two stimulus payments were authorized.
The EIP1 in early 2020 was $1,200 for someone not a dependent. And $500 for a child dependent under the age of 17.
The EIP2 in late December or early in 2021 was $600 for someone not a dependent. And $600 for a dependent child under the age of 17.
Both stimulus payments, if received, must be entered on a 2020 federal tax return.
