The issue is now resolved. Phew!
I deleted all the interest, stocks, and dividend-related items from the dashboard. Yet that dividends from Betterment was showing up on the 1040 PDF. I also found a TurboTax Worksheet that had that number.
Finally, I followed @SteamTrain's advice and deleted the Schedule B form from the Tools Center. I then re-entered the information again; some manually and some through the import and it worked out this time. I'm not sure why it happened in the first place but am glad it's resolved.
