Ok ... going forward remember to save your files on a removable storage medium like a thumb drive so you always have access to your records. As to the old quickbooks program ... unfortunately they do have a sunset where they go out of date ... so if you lose the programming you will have to upgrade ... this is a simple fact of life in the electronic world we live in.
