Get your taxes done using TurboTax

A 6 digit Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) is provided by the IRS after you have reported an Identity Theft using Form 14039 in a prior tax year.  The IP PIN is mailed to you each year in December or January by the IRS.

Go to this IRS website for retrieving your IP PIN - https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/retrieve-your-ip-pin

To enter a 6 digit IP PIN

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Other Tax Situations
  • Scroll down to Other Return Info
  • On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button

Or enter ip pin in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to ip pin

NOTE: If you are unable to retrieve your IP PIN, the 2019 tax return will have to be printed and mailed.
