@xmasbaby0 I found out because I tried to sign up for the "where's my stimulus check" website and got an error message saying I could not sign up for it because "someone has already claimed you as a dependant"/ the only "person" I can think of that would do that is my estranged father. Before I cut him out of my life he had asked me hey what's your SSI #? When I asked him why he needed it he replied oh nevermind, I got it. And never would tell me why he wanted it. He's VERY possessive and views me as property. He's tried several times in the past to get me declared his dependant legally and I've fought him off each and every time.
He thinks I owe him a couple of million dollars for "raising me, and not just dumping me off in a nursing home like he should have when I got sick"He was highly offended when I chose to leave the house when I turned 16 and live with my grown sister. He's called the cops on me a couple of times claiming I was being held against my will and neglected. He's also called hrs, and other government agencies trying to get me declared his dependant even though I want nothing to do with him.
