Your GF messed up. You are correct--you will not be able to e-file now, because she claimed the child on her non-filer form; that is what is causing your own return to be rejected.
You can still claim your child and file as Head of Household, but you will not be able to e-file. You will have to print, sign and mail your own return. Expect a wait for your refund--mailed returns are taking a LOT longer than normal now. They have been piling up in trailers and the IRS is just recently beginning to work their way through the backlog. Sorry.....
