Secondary tax filers are also covered under IDnotify as part of MAX Benefits. To enroll the secondary tax filer with IDnotify, follow these steps:
- Contact TurboTax https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3300041
- When you enter your question, enter Enroll spouse in MAX Benefits
- The specialist will then be able to provide you with the steps to enroll the secondary tax filer
What is Full Identity Restoration?
Full Identity Restoration can help you get your identity back if somebody files a fraudulent return on your behalf. This service is provided by IDnotify, a part of Experian, and sold as part of MAX Defend & Restore.
If your identity is compromised, with your authorization your Dedicated Full Identity Restoration specialist can help with things like:
- Credit, tax, bank, payday, utilities, or alias fraud;
- Reviewing your credit report for fraudulent activity;
- Contacting financial institutions or agencies that hold your accounts (e.g. your bank, credit card company or Social Security Administration);
- Notifying law enforcement if fraudulent activity is detected.
In addition, you have the option to log into your Full Identity Restoration dashboard to add any additional personal information (Social Security number, email addresses, etc.) you'd like to be monitored. If risk is detected, you'll get instructions on how to secure your personal information.
