I'm not saying I am more experienced but I am in the same situation (disabled, receiving social security) and I live with my brother. He tried to claim me as a dependant and couldn't. I filed myself (after talking to the IRS) and found out someone had illegally obtained my social security number. So, it's a good idea to check if you're worried.
