You can continue and file your son's return, but then you won't be able to use that account to file your return with a Schedule C.
The information from 2018 won't flow over to your 2019 return.
(You'll also be charged for the "Self-Employed" program that your son doesn't need to file his return)
Are you able to continue with the return and slowly delete your son's information and then enter yours?
Can you click on "Add a state" to stop the process and then remove his information and enter yours?
Can you select that you will file by mail, and then go back in and alter the return?

If you end up continuing and use this account to file your son's return, you might consider saving your 2018 tax file and transferring that to a new account to proceed with your 1040 with Schedule C.
