Get your taxes done using TurboTax

That usually happens when you start in on a new 1099-R...and then only get part-way in, then back out or jump out....and then...too late... an empty <untitled> 1099-R gets created with nothing in it.

 

You can just 

1) navigate back to the 1099-R entry section and delete the <untitled> one from the 1099-R table

 

or  if using the Desktop software.

2) switch to Forms Mode, find and select the <untitled> 1099-R, and then when it displays, hit the "Delete Form" selection at the bottom of the screen.
