You will need to file an amendment, however as Xmasbaby mentions above you should wait for your original return to be processed. You have until Apr 15 (Oct 15 with an extension) to get a correct return filed without penalty. If the amendment results in a tax owed then you have until 15 Apr to pay before interest starts to accrue.
