It sounds like you answered the question correctly based on the information you shared.  

 

The homes in which you and your dependent daughter lived was the space that you rented and paid for.  Those were considered your home.  If someone else (including your dependent) had helped you pay the rent and other costs associated with living in those spaces, then you would need to determine whether you paid over half the cost or if another person had paid over half. 

 

If you did not actually pay rent for the space, then you did not pay over half of the cost of maintaining the home, the homeowners did.
