Whatever estimating tool(s) you used were just that---estimates. When you actually enter all of the detailed information into the tax software it gets much more exact and the results may not match the estimate you saw earlier. There are a LOT of variables that affect your tax due/refund, and you were not able to enter all of them into an estimator.
