You would want to file as Married Filing Jointly even if one spouse has little or no income.
If he is receiving Social Security Disability income reported on a Form SSA-1099 that has to be entered on your tax return. If he receives disability income from a former employer and it is reported on a Form 1099-R that has to be reported on your tax return.
