Get your taxes done using TurboTax
When your e-files were rejected you got an email with a rejection code or a rejection message telling you the reason for the rejection. When you found out the return was rejected, what did you do? Did you correct the problem, print the returns and mail them, or just not file the returns?
If you were supposed to get a tax refund for 2016 you have until April 15, 2020 to file that return and to receive a 2016 tax refund--after that your 2016 refund will be forfeited if you do not file. If you owed tax due, then your penalties and interest have been adding up since the filing deadlines.
Any past year returns from 2016 to 2018 now have to printed, signed and mailed in order to file them. E-filing is closed for those tax years.
