I think if you tried to efile after midnight Turbo Tax would not have even let you submit it. Did you get the first confirmation email saying it was transmitted? Then there is a second email saying if the IRS Accepted or Rejected it. If it Rejected you could have fixed it and had until Oct 20 to efile again.
