Rejecting? E-filing for a 2018 return has been closed for a couple of weeks now.
Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2018 returns is now permanently closed. You had until midnight on Tuesday, October 15 to finish and attempt to e-file; if your e-file was rejected you had until October 20 to make corrections and re-file.
You cannot e-file a tax return now. It has to be printed, signed and mailed.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
