So you entered it as box 3 instead of 7? Where did it show up on your return? Line 21 Other Income? or did you fill out schedule C self employment for it? Yes if you didn't fill out schedule C you need to amend.
So don't change it yet. Wait until you start the amended return. You can't amend until your first return has fully processed and you get the first refund. The Amended return won't be ready until late Feb.
