2) Make sure you have converted all of those prior year tax files to PDF files before you get rid of the old computer. a)_ Once as just the bare filing copy, and b) again...with All forms and Worksheets. The PDF copies may be the only thing you can look at for 2014 and earlier (on a new MAC)
3) with a new MAC, you will unlikely be able to fully install 2014 or earlier on the new MAC, as software updates, and state software sets are no longer available for the earlier years (even if you still have the old CDs...the software on each of them requires extensive updates. 2015 might work if you get s a special fix file after you install it.
4) IF you later update the MAC to a newer OS level, there is no guarantee that even the 2016-2018 software will continue working. MAC OS updates have had a real problem with backward compatibility with prior year TurboTax software.....where Windows seems to have had a much better record of backward compatibility. Just be aware of the issue and generate the PDF files every year when everything is done and filed.
