Depending on which type of Form
1099-G that you have received, follow the steps below to enter the Form in
TurboTax Online:
How to enter
Unemployment 1099-G:
- Sign into your Online account and select "Take me
to my return".
- Select
Federal in the left side panel then select Income & Expenses at the
top.
- Scroll
down to "Unemployment" and select "Show more"
- Select
'Start/Revisit next to "Unemployment and Paid Family Leave"
- Follow
the onscreen instructions to enter the Form.
Here is how to
enter your State/Local 1099-G:
- Sign into your Online account and select "Take me
to my return".
- Select
"Federal" in the left side panel then select "Income &
Expenses at the top.
- Scroll
down to "Other common income" and click "Show more"
- Select
"Start/Revisit" next to "Refunds received for State/Local
Tax Returns.
- Follow
the onscreen instructions to enter the Form.
Here is how to
enter a Form 1099-G for (Taxable gains, market gains, etc):
- Sign into your Online account and select "Take me
to my return".
- Select
"Federal" in the left side panel then select "Income &
Expenses at the top.
- Scroll
down to "Other common income" and click "Show more"
- Select
"Start/Revisit" next to "Other 1099-G income".
- Follow
the onscreen instructions to enter the Form.
