How do I file my 1099g

Depending on which type of Form 1099-G that you have received, follow the steps below to enter the Form in TurboTax Online:

How to enter Unemployment 1099-G:

  1. Sign into your Online account and select "Take me to my return".
  2. Select Federal in the left side panel then select Income & Expenses at the top.
  3. Scroll down to "Unemployment" and select "Show more"
  4. Select 'Start/Revisit next to "Unemployment and Paid Family Leave"
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the Form.

Here is how to enter your State/Local 1099-G:

  1. Sign into your Online account and select "Take me to my return".
  2. Select "Federal" in the left side panel then select "Income & Expenses at the top.
  3. Scroll down to "Other common income" and click "Show more"
  4. Select "Start/Revisit" next to "Refunds received for State/Local Tax Returns.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the Form.

Here is how to enter a Form 1099-G for (Taxable gains, market gains, etc):

  1. Sign into your Online account and select "Take me to my return".
  2. Select "Federal" in the left side panel then select "Income & Expenses at the top.
  3. Scroll down to "Other common income" and click "Show more"
  4. Select "Start/Revisit" next to "Other 1099-G income".
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the Form.
