If you are using the 2017 online editions, the forms and schedules for 2017 have not all been finalized for filing.
You cannot e-file a tax return until after January 1, 2018. And you cannot file your tax return until all the forms and schedules in your tax return have been finalized. You need all the W-2's and Form 1099's available before you can file a tax return.
The IRS will not be accepting any type of 2017 tax return until mid to late January 2018.
