How long does it actually take to recieve my tax return by mail if my bank account rejected it?
So, on Feb 17, Green Dot bank rejected my tax refund because my husband was the primary account holder and my name appaered first on our return. When we called the IRS they informed us it would take 8 to 10 weeks to recieve the refund via mail. However we recently got a letter in the mail a month after the lady from the IRS said 8 to 10 weeks, stating it will take 8 to 10 weeks. So should I expect my refund from the date the lady said on the phone or by letter? Is there a way to speed the process up? Someone I can hire for this? I cannot afford to wait any longer because of pressing medical issues. The IRS will not update me and they usually say, I don't know you'll get it when you get it. I feel like if I owed the IRS and said the same thing it wouldn't fly. Ugh. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.
