To save a copy of your TurboTax Online .2016tax data file take these steps:
- Sign
into TurboTax
- Go to My TurboTax > Tax Timeline > Take me to my return
- Click on My Account > Tools
- Under the Other Helpful Links... Click on Save your 2016 return to your computer
- Your .2016tax data file will download. Save the download to your computer.
- Open your 2016 TurboTax desktop software. You will be able to Open the return in the software to continue working on your return.
