Are you a Calfornia filer, and did you choose to pay your TurboTax fees out of the Federal refund? If so, that payment method has a 44.99 service fee, and invokes the "Premium Services" bundle. You can remove Premium Services prior to filing and avoid the 44.99 service fee, and can then pay the product fees upfront with credit/debit card or a prepaid debit card you can buy in a store.
