In the online paid editions, only Premier and Self-Employed editions can handle Schedule D and Form 8949.
TurboTax does have a free product that can handle Schedule D and Form
8949; it's called the FREEDOM Edition (not the same as Free Edition.)
But you have to meet one of the qualifications to use it:
- AGI less than $33,000
- Or active-duty military (including Reservists and National Guard) with AGI less than $64,000
- Or eligible for EIC (earned income credit.)
