Get your taxes done using TurboTax
When you are married and living together you or your spouse cannot have Head of Household filing status and a spouse is never claimed as a dependent. The standard deduction for Head of Household is less than the standard deduction for Married Filing Jointly anyway.
You would want to file your tax return as Married Filing Jointly even if one spouse has little or no income. You receive the highest standard deduction of $12,600 and you each receive a personal exemption of $4,050
