What kind of 1099 income?  1099R or 1099Misc, etc.  For 1099R you might have reported it but got the wrong taxable amount.  Or got it on the wrong line so the IRS missed it.  It goes on 1040 line 15 or 16 (1040A lines 11 or 12).
