To verify If you filed your return as a dependent or independent, click here and follow the instructions on how to print a copy of your return. Be sure to click Download all forms and worksheets.
Once you have printed you return, look at the Part I-Personal Information of the Federal Information Worksheet, Under "Dependent of Someone Else", if "Yes" is checked for both questions then this means you filed as a dependent, if "No" is checked, then you filed as an independent.
