If a saved return won't open it may be due to a conflict with Windows updates, 

You can repair Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 

1. Open the Windows Control Panel
2. Go to Programs and Features.
3. Locate Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64).
4. Right-click it, 
5. Select Change, then click Repair.
6. Do this for all listed Visual C++ versions.
7. Restart your computer. 

Additional Troubleshooting Steps

If the issue persists, consider these  Steps if the 2025 Desktop Application will not open

• Disable Security Software: 
  • Temporarily turn off antivirus/firewall, as they may block the application.
• Use "Open Tax Return": Launch TurboTax first, then use 
  • File 
  • Open Tax Return to select your file.
• Clear Configuration: 
  • Remove TTConfig.ini in 
  • C:\ProgramData\Intuit\TurboTax\TY25.
• Repair Adobe Components: 
  • Repair or reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud to fix rendering issues.
