If you did not itemize your 2024 federal tax deductions then there is no need to report the 2024 state tax refund on the Form 1099-G for tax year 2025.
To enter, edit or delete a state or local tax refund (Form 1099-G) -
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Other Common Income
On Refunds Received for State/Local Tax Returns, click the start or update button
